About Us
The SERICS (Security and Rights in CyberSpace) Foundation is a research entity and implementing party for the “Cybersecurity, new technologies and protection of rights” extended partnership, which was formed as part of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
It promotes scientific and technological research in the field of cybersecurity and digital rights, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to address the challenges of cyberspace and make a tangible impact on the security of the national system, with positive economic, institutional and social effects at both national and European level.

With this in mind, the Foundation aims at establishing itself as a national platform for cybersecurity research, consolidating its position as a leading scientific and industrial body. Through the SERICS Cybersecurity Academy, the Foundation delivers specialist training courses whilst also offering technology transfer programmes and initiatives designed to promote entrepreneurship, the dissemination of knowledge and public awareness of cybersecurity issues.
With the involvement of its academic-industrial partnership, organised into 10 thematic spokes, SERICS adopts an interdisciplinary approach that integrates technical, legal and social expertise. This enables the development of sustainable and innovative solutions that can be applied in institutional and industrial contexts.
